I’m always a little bit worried about what I’ll get when I order tackle online, however, I was in the market for some leads recently, and, having visited my local tackle shops, I’m still reeling (pardon the pun!) at prices!! Does it really cost anywhere near £1.50 to produce a single lead?? Some shops are even more expensive, so I set out to find a reliable, cheaper place to buy my weights.
I had noticed a website called ‘Frank’s Leads’ during my trawls through Ebay so I thought I’d have a look; www.franksleads.co.uk don’t just do leads, they have terminal bits a plenty, all at outrageously low prices. Could it really be that good though? I ordered 10 leads in different sizes and finishes at 4p.m. on a Saturday evening not expecting to receive them much before the following Friday; the leads arrived at 1030a.m. on Tuesday! Take the Sunday out, that’s less than 48 hours! I checked the package contents against my order and it matched perfectly so I was happy so far. Did the leads weigh what they were supposed to? Within a gram or so, nothing that was unexpected given the manufacturing processes. Inspecting each lead, I found no rough or sharp edges, the anchor loops were all secured properly, set correctly within the lead and the swivels were all of good quality with nothing to create an unnecessary snag or tangle problem. The leads have the weight stamped on the side so no confusion there either…The coated leads come in several colours and will blend in with the lake beds I fish so camouflage is good and the coating even absorbs flavours if you are an angler who likes an edge.
Would I recommend Frank’s Leads? Without a doubt; I paid just £8 including postage for 10 high quality leads in a variety of sizes and finishes. The order was simple to put together, came through extremely quickly and was 100% accurate. With prices so low, I will be back for more and I suggest you take a look at www.franksleads.co.uk to see what bargains you can find! Thanks, Frank!!
