I have no hesitation in saying that these CK Fusion Expert 12000 reels are the best-value big pit reels on the market. I mainly fish a big gravel pit, where distance is key. Most of the fish tend to get caught at 80 yards plus so a reel holding plenty of line is a must (this one has a capacity of 225 yards of 15lb line). But when you’re fishing at range, you need a reel with plenty of cranking power that enables you to bring your rig in at pace – and this tool has a 4.1:1 retrieve, which is superb. The big, powerful handle also helps with this too.
