Bait Factory

I’m going to make a bold statement, but this new pellet launch by Bait Factory will win tackle awards in 2013, such is its innovation.

Ok, that’s a big claim, but let’s consider the evidence.

When you walk into a tackle shop, you have to remember that most of the bags of pellet are nothing more than bait repackaged from the aquaculture world. One bag of halibut pellets is usually the same as the next bag. That’s why you should buy on price, not brand.

Bait FactoryThen some of the craftier companies have flavoured and coloured pellets… really stepping up to the mark. But the problem with many of these pellets is once they hit the water, the colour and flavour washes off, and you’re left with the same old basic pellet everyone else sticks in a bag and sends off to market! It’s the kind of stunt that catches more anglers than it does fish.

Hopefully, by now, you’re getting the picture. Pellets… very important to coarse angling, but so few people make a pellet as the machinery is too expensive – they’re simply bought in from the fish farming industry.

But that’s now changed. In a big way!

Investment by the new Bait Factory business into supporting a vision of ‘flavour families’ has meant the angling world now has a new generation of fish food for anglers.

When you choose the Apex bait range, you get fennel and hemp boilies, fennel and hemp paste, fennel and hemp glug, in fact fennel and hemp everything, including… pellets.

Drilled Krill PelletsFrom the surface to the core, the Bait Factory pellets are coloured and flavoured to match your hookbait giving them a real edge over other companies.

Flavours include: Arctic Krill and Crab; Apex Fennel and Hemp; Reef Coconut Cream; Aztec Chilli-Chocolate Orange; Storm Tropical Fruit; Ignite Natural.

They are available in a unique oval design spod friendly bucket – it has a lip that allows a bank stick and butt rest combination to support it at waist height when feeding – in 2 kilo or 3.5 kilo sizes. The pellets also come in Micro (2, 4 and 6mm sizes) or regular tubs (6, 8 and 10mm). I’d recommend investing in both for a full range and maximum variation in breakdown time.

Pellets come in two sizes of spod friendly oval buckets that can be rigged up to waist height for easy filling bu using rod rests.

The pellet range also extends to Carp and Micro Carp Pellets, again in spod friendly buckets, Mega-Mix Pellets in a variety of flavours and sizes – ideal for anti-spook when spodding or using pva bags. There’s also tubs of drilled pellets – 8, 12 and 16mm – quality hooks baits for barbel and carp available in Halibut and Krill flavours.

This massive, revolutionary range is priced at between £4.99 and £10.99 and is sure to find an army of followers this season. Check it out.
