I bought this feeder rod for my local lake which has a good stock of carp in the 2-10lb bracket with the chance of a few bigger fish and it’s been a brilliant servant.
The swims at Dunns Pool are fairly confined so the length is ideal and it’s only a 30 yard cast to the reeds against the island, which is where most fish seem to be caught.
The rod is two piece, fairly slim, and has a choice of quivertips. The handle is a foam style and the reel seat screws tight.
Finished in a deep blue, with nice whippings, it does look much more expensive than the £10 I paid for it. The action is also smooth and progressive and I’m able to drop down to 3-4lb hooklengths and still land decent fish without fear of snapping off.
It’s also guts enough to cast all style of feeders including small methods.
They also do the rod in a pellet waggler, 13ft waggler and barbel feeder.
