Step into the mind of carp fishing’s original innovator. At last! Kevin Nash reveals what has made him a leading carp angler for decades!
This is one DVD that many people thought would never be made. Why’s that? Well, Kevin Nash, despite being at the leading edge of carp fishing tackle manufacturing, has always tended to shy away from public appearances, letting his products, baits and fieldtesters do the talking.
In Pursuit is a documentary style DVD, following Kevin in the hunt for big carp. Through his eyes, we see how an experienced and knowledgeable carp angler approaches a water and thinks like a carp.
The emphasis isn’t on what bait or rig to use, although these are touched upon in places, but rather how to analyse what you can see, and can’t see, when approaching a water. For example, the start shows how to find clear patches in weed and what they might mean. Having just returned from a carp fishing trip with another good angler who used very similar tactics (and caught two 30’s and a handful of 20’s), it made a lot of what I’d witnessed the week before make sense. If you’re struggling to catch carp, it’s worth buying this DVD just for that knowledge alone!
One thing that I did find pleasing is that I expected to see loads of ‘plugging’ of Nash products. This didn’t happen, which was a relief, as I feel that it would have taken away from the integrity of what the whole film is about. Thumbs up to Nashy for that. The DVD concentrates on catching big carp and nothing else.
Many carp anglers won’t need to read reviews like this to be prompted to buy In Pursuit. Kevin Nash has a loyal army of followers who love Nash Tackle and Nash Bait. For everyone else, if the appeal of stepping into Kevin’s mind doesn’t appeal, there’s always the temptation of seeing the UK’s largest carp captured on film!
In Pursuit is available from Kevin Nash direct on 01702 233232 or from Nash Stockists. Priced at £19.99, it’s already selling well and is bound to be a Christmas Carp Hit!
