Fishing continues to be first Class down at Seighford lakes again this week, Nearly every angler who has turned up has landed at least one trout or more and some anglers have caught up to 14 fish into double figures. 6 double figure Rainbows have come out of both Trout lakes this week with 13lb 4oz being the best. Lures, Damsels, Nymphs and buzzers have been taking the fish this week from both lakes at variours depths., the key has been to keep on the move.
We held the second Trout match of the year this weekend which was well supported with 17 anglers fishing in the World Bank Masters. A cold start to the morning didn’t put the fish off with Trevor Bailey from Derby taking 5 fish off his first peg within the 30 minute mark, Trevor then struggled all day for another 1 fish but this great start would see him into the next round. Andy Taylor from Stafford won the match with 9 fish, Andy fished a floating with small Nymphs on every peg to catch all of his fish. Andy cacught well over both lakes and only blanked on 2 pegs which was a cracking result. A list of the top 4 from the match is listed below.
1st Place Andy Taylor 9 Fish
2nd Place Trevor Bailey 6 Fish
3rd Geoff Hadley 6 Fish
4th Andy Gudger 4fish
54 fish were caught in the match giving a great rod average of 2.9. The next trout match will be on the 6th April so get in touch and book in.
