Trout Fishing
*A Stocking of fish will be going into both lakes on Tuesday 23rd November*
With the stocking of fish going in at the beginning of the week, top sport has been had from the off. Trout up to 14lb have been stocked in to both lakes so the chance of catching a fish of a life time is certainly on the cards. Local hot rod ‘Jock’ has shown the way this week. Tuesday he caught 4 fish in 40 minutes, landing two cracking fish out of the Railway Pool, the first weighed in at 8lb 6oz and the second weighed 12lb 2oz. He then returned on Sunday morning adding another 10 fish to his bag, best fish on the Sunday was just shy of 7lb. Jock took all his fish using a white and Green Lure on a floating line. His fishing partner Kevin Faulkner also had one his best sessions this year taking 8 fish on the peg next to Jock. Kev took Trout up to 8lb 9oz using the same method. Chris Ector from Stoke caught 16 fish on Friday. Chris caught from both lakes using an Olive Lure on a floating line. Jimmy Johnson took the best Brown Trout this week, weighing 8lb 1oz. Jim to! ok the fish along with 7 other fish from the Railway Pool. He caught on a variety of different coloured Lures using a floating line.
