Goose Green was a hive of activity over the past weekend, with car parking spaces being at a premium on the Sunday.
Fishery manager Ray Clark fished New Pond and was faced with a mass of small silver fish, however he put together a net of approx 7-0-0 of the tiny fish, over on Lake Four a number of people could be found, Angling Training Instructor Graham Knight, fished the short pole for half a dozen bream and some respectable silvers in his short afternoon session, also to be found on Lake Four were two members of the infamous Tester Clan, Adam fishing the waggler, netted four carp and a handful of bream, sitting to his right was the old man of the pack, Tony, who fishing the pole put together a net of bream for a respectable weight in the glaring sun, he also included a solitary carp in his haul.
On Lake Three Ryan Giles was to be found fishing a late afternoon evening session, Ryan, who it has to be said is a very capable angler, was seen to net carp and bream on the short pole, also on Lake Three was Society Webmaster Spike, fishing his usual method of short pole, he caught 7 carp and 11 bream, he also included quality roach in his catch.
Our resident “Pulborough Pixie”, Paul Cripps settled in his favourite swim on Tench Pond, where he caught a steady succession of strangely enough, Tench to 3lb, and a rogue Eel.
Numerous members of Pulborough’s Junior match team were also to found at the venue, getting in some last minute practice ready for the forthcoming league match at Goose Green, Jamie Douglas, reported the capture of a Ghost Carp from Deep lake that tipped the scales at just over 11lb, the beast was tamed on pole tackle, another member of the Junior Team (sorry didn’t catch your name) got some last minute bagging practice on the pole, fishing Lake Three, he caught 5 carp on maggot hookbaits, the best being in the region of 5lb.
We wish both Pulborough Junior teams, the best of luck in their forthcoming match.

Methods used are Pole, Whip or Waggler with all tackle being supplied by the tutor, all of whom are experienced Pulborough AS members.
