Dog Owners – whilst we do not mind members taking their dogs to Goose Green, we do ask that you clear up after your pets and take it home with you, we also ask that dogs are kept on leads at all times and if you are fishing the lead is attached to a brolly pole or similar, at the moment this is a request rather than a rule.

Goose Green
Adam Tester fished Lake 2 at Goose Green on the 3rd August, fishing the short pole with pellet on the hook fished over groundbait fed via a pole cup, Adam put together a respectable net of skimmers for a total weight of 22-0-0, a picture of Adam and his catch can be seen in the attachment.
Simon & Colin Parker ventured out with Grandparents Ray & Sandy Emery on the 3rd August, fishing Lake 2 with the straight lead, Simon caught a sack full of small stockie carp to 0-8-0, with his best fish of the day being a 3-0-0 Common. Colin fishing the adjacent peg to his big brother, Simon, Colin fishing the waggler caught lots of small stockie carp, plus three bigger specimens, the best being a 7-0-0 Ghost Common Carp.
Paul Cripps fished an over night session on Lake 2, Peg 7 at Goose Green on the 4/5 August, Paul fishing a variety of methods, including the waggler & ledger, caught 10 “proper” Carp to 11-0-0, plus 20 of the lakes smaller stockie carp to 0-8-0.
Also at Goose Green this weekend was club stalwart Les Taylor, Les Fishing Peg 27 on Lake 3 with his favoured method of the waggler, caught Bream, Tench, Roach & Rudd, but his best fish of the day was a 1-4-0 Crucian Carp caught in the margins on sweetcorn.
Moor Farm
Adam Tester enjoyed a great day at Moor Farm today, fishing paste at 6m he had 5 Carp, the biggest was 8lb 8oz, the rest averaging 2lb. The rest of the day he was catching Tench and Crucian Carp. Adams total weight for the 6 hours he fished was just over 58lb.

Goose Green Development
As you will notice of you visit Goose Green, Deep Lake is near enough full of water, following four days of sustained pumping.
The water has been taken from the other ponds on site, which will hopefully recover to their full levels as soon as we get some rain !!!!, Deep Lake remains closed as there are no fish in lake and will remain off limits until April the 1st 2008, which is our planned opening date, please do not move fish into Deep Lake from the other ponds, as we have a planned stocking policy for Deep Lake that has taken many hours to formulate and the introduction of fish into the Lake will seriously upset the stocking policy we have set out.

Work Parties
For the benefit of those who wish to come and help, we hold working parties at Goose Green every Saturday, starting at 0900hrs, all assistance gratefully accepted, even if you can only spare an hour – as the television advertisement states “Every Little Helps…..” .
