Catch Reports
Goose Green
A few souls were to be found at Goose Green over the past weekend, Webmaster, Press Officer, Plantsman and Committee Member, Mark Emery fished Lake 4 on Sunday, using waggler tactics and maggot on the hook, Mark caught three bream and a handful of silver fish, immediately to his left was Trevor Mordle, who using the pole with Maggot and pellet on the hook, landed two bream and some quality silver fish.
On Tench Pond, Paul “Pixie” Cripps could be found fishing with his mate Tom, Paul caught two tench and a few perch on feeder fished worm, we believe Tom blanked, to Tom’s right was Terry Stillwell, who fishing the the waggler and feed, caught a solitary roach, which unfortunately, fell off as he swung it in.
Earlier in the week, Terry decided to fish the recently drained Deep Lake, using fairly heavy gear for the time of year, he reports catching three pallets and an engine block, he is also quoted as saying “these pallets don’t half hang on!!!” 🙂
Moor Farm
Nothing this week
Goose Green
The planned opening date of 1st April for Lake 2, has unfortunately not been met and the lake remains closed to anglers until further notice.
Whilst the remainder of the planting on the Lake will be completed as & when, we still have the swims to build, and this is a time consuming task to say the least, please come and help THE FEW, even if it is only for a couple of hours , the sooner we get the swims built, the sooner you can fish the lake.
Work Parties
For the benefit of those who wish to come and help, we hold working parties at Goose Green every Saturday, starting at 0900hrs, all assistance gratefully accepted, even if you can only spare an hour – as the television advertisement states “Every Little Helps…..” , we will be holding a two day work party on the Friday & Saturday of the forthcoming Easter weekend.
