At the recent Tackle & Guns Show, I was fortunate enough to have a guided tour around the immense Nash Tackle stand by Alan Blair. There were quite a few new products that Alan demonstrated and he was, quite understandably, excited by his own company’s forthcoming releases.
However, as he ushered me into a camo-covered marquee, he told me that he’d left the best ’til last…the new Nash Scope carp rods.
Now, I’m not going to say too much about these (basically, because I don’t know a great deal about them!), but suffice to say that they will TOTALLY transform the way many carp anglers fish. I have no doubt about that whatsoever.
Shorter rods with a retractable butt? It’ll never catch on……OH YES, IT WILL!
These Nash Scope rods have really been kicking up a storm and we’ll tell you more about them soon on Anglers’ Net. In the meantime, however, here’s the man himself in action with a near-50lb mirror carp on prototype Scope, proving that old carp anglers never die, their rods just get shorter!
Great clip, Mr. Nash, Sir. And, as we’ve come to expect, good angling!
