Carlo Borromeo fished Beckerings Reservoir landing a 29lb 7oz mirror during his evening session. Successful tactics for Carlo were a snowman set up fished over a scattering of free offerings. See photo below.
Ben Sharp visited Beckerings for the first time landing several carp to 17lb and bream to 5lb. Ben fished a Starmer Coconut Fish boilie tipped with fake corn over a spodded area. At the same venue Charlie Riddock netted a 20lb 8oz common and 18lb 4oz mirror, Lorraine Day had a personal best 12lb 6oz common with Mick Stringer tempting three to low doubles. Tony Sessions has been having bream between 6 & 7lb and an 8lb tench was caught by an angler who did not want to be named but it was weighed and witnessed by the bailiff.
I’m told that some of the marginal areas at Beckerings are very shallow at the moment 2-3 feet from the edge and in the interests of returning fish safely waterproof boots are recommended.
At North House Lake Brett Herdman caught a 24lb common, Scott Larman a 24lb 6oz common and 19lb mirror, Mark Sessions a 20lb 1oz common and 20lb 4oz mirror with Ricky Watts having a 20lb 14oz common.
Nearby on the River Great Ouse Sam Langdon managed a 6lb 11oz bream plus some small chub.
