Rainbow over Beckerings ReservoirOn the Grand Union Canal Mark Woolley fished a 15mm Starmer Baits coconut boilie over 2kg of feebies to catch 5 carp topped by a 15lb 3oz common. Mark used Nash 25lb Diffusion Camo Missing Link and size 8 Nash Fang hook.

The Southern Canal League fished on Sunday 15th August between the Stoke Hammond Layby and Broad Oak Bridge.
 
1st Lol Breach – 30lb 12oz – skimmers on pellet and double red maggot – section 2a
2nd Terry Lovell – 30lb –  skimmers on pellet and double red maggot – section 2a
3rd Steve Davis – 23lb 9oz – skimmers on pellet and double red maggot – section 2a near the old swing bridge
4th Graham Smith – 20lb 4oz – skimmers on pellet and double red maggot – layby end of section 1
5th James Drax – 19lb 1oz – skimmers on pellet and double red maggot – layby end of section 1
 
Sadly only seven members attended the workparty on the Ouse at Biddenham however the seven worked very hard and 10 pallets were replaced in swims along the river as well as grass cutting and general maintenance. A regular angler at the venue reported catching a 2lb 13oz perch to legered worm.
 
Luton AC are looking for bailiffs for two river sections near Milton Keynes and Bedford plus the Grand Union Canal around the Stoke Hammond/Leighton Buzzard/Pitstone areas. Please send an email to any of the Fisheries Management Team via the club website contacts page if you are interested.
