Phil Randall fished at Beckerings Reservoir near Flitwick and landed a 23lb 11oz mirror along with a low double. Phil reports that there is little coming out during the day.
Brett Herdman was at the same venue and found the fish feeding during the night landing five commons and one mirror to 18lb 2oz on Quest Baits.
Although the carp seem to have switched off during the day there are still good bags of roach and skimmers to be had in daylight hours with catches of 20lb not uncommon.
This weeks workparty was at a wind and rain lashed North House Lake on the Wyboston Complex. Despite a very poor turnout water lilly roots and reeds were cleared with the help of a diver in 18 swims to stop them causing problems in the Spring. A big thank you to all those that attended in terrible weather conditions, your efforts were much appreciated.
