Daisy’s Pool (Specimen)
It has been another fantastic week on Daisy’s Pool with most anglers landing multiple catches of Carp to 21lb, venue regular Carl Harris again got amongst the fish with 12 to the weeks biggest 21lb during his 24 hour session, fishing pop-ups to the shallows amongst the weed also landed him fish of 11lb, 11lb 5oz, 13lb, 13lb 9oz, 14lb 1oz, 14lb 8oz, 17lb 6oz, 17lb 10oz, 17lb 12oz, 18lb and 19lb 5oz.
Martin Hewlett of Kingsbury visited the venue for the first time and was rewarded with 9 Carp to 18lb and Steven Wilson of Coventry spent a day on the lake for 5 Carp to 19lb.
Harry’s Pool
Another fabulous week on Harry’s with bags of Carp to over 80lb common place, flat pellet feeder and pellet hookbaits fished to the island are producing plenty of bigger Carp to 8lb with pole fished down the channel taking lots of Carp to 5lb. The weeks biggest bag was to Sam Jackson of Nuneaton who fished down the pole at 7m to take 80lb, Sam alternated between pellet and corn fished over pellet. Sean Willets of Tamworth alternated between pole and method feeder to land 78lb and Harrison Tomlinson of Coventry fished the groundbait feeder and pellet to land 67lb.
We have stocked another 350 Carp between 2lb and 5lb this week thus confirming our commitment to ensuring the quality of fishing is not compromised. The lake has produced plenty of Carp to 16lb this week as well as some really good quality catches of Roach and Gudgeon.
Kestrel Pool
Kestrel has been in fine form for quality mixed bags of Carp, Barbel, Roach and Perch. The most spectacular catch of the week though was a cracking 6lb Chub landed by Neil Wigall of Nuneaton, Neil also landed Carp to 8lb and a cracking 2lb Perch whilst fishing the waggler close to the outflow pipe.
Open Match
We will be hosting another of our open matches on 23rd June, this time on Harry’s Pool. Pegs are limited so book quickly. Draw will be at 0800 and fishing will be from 0900-1400. The cost of a place is £15 with £10 towards prize pool.
