Greys & Chub Academy member and angling writer, Dave Moore is to be one of the first two British anglers to cast a line in the world record breaking, Euro-Aqua Lake in Hungary.
Dave has joined seasoned international Carp angler and UK businessman, Steve Weir to fish Euro-Aqua on the banks of the colossal Lake Balaton close to the Austrian border. The lake boasts a huge stock of big fish including the current world record that was banked last year at 101lb 4oz.
Dave from North Yorkshire and Steve from the south coast started their European drive on Saturday 5th October, allowing two days of travel before commencing their week’s fishing from Monday. The anglers plan to send photos and catch reports live from the bank, so if anyone wishes to keep up to date, tune into Greys and Chub Facebook pages:

Greys & Chub Media Manager Ed Betteridge, commented;
“I wish both Dave and Steve all the luck on their session and I’m looking forward to the catch reports rolling in. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity for the pair and for them to be the first British anglers on the Lake is a ground breaking moment in UK and European Carp fishing history. Both Dave and Steve are using the Greys AirCurves for the European trip so hopefully the first Carp to be banked by a British angler from the famous water will be on Greys rods.”
