2018 Home and International Marine Championships

The Angling Trust National Team and Competitions Marine Group are considering entering teams into the World and Home International Sea Angling Championships in 2018.   

The Angling Trust formally invites applications to be considered for the 2018 England Squad and Sea Angling Teams.  As the World Shore teams for Seniors and Ladies and World Shore Pairs, Long Casting of Sea Weights will be taking place in South Africa in 2019 for the World Games the teams for these will be selected in the 2018 selection process also.  If anyone is applying for these categories please include a note with your application that you would like to be considered for 2018 and 2019 selections.

World Shore Angling Championships for Clubs
ITALY, Catanzaro – 26^th World Championship from 19^th to 26^th May 2018.

World Shore Championships for Youth U16s and U21s

PORTUGAL, Manta Rota – Vila Real de Santo Antonio ) 27^th  World Championship Youth U21s and 18^th World Championship for U16s from 6^th to 13^th October 2018.

World Championships for Long Casting of Sea Weights

ITALY, Cagliari  – 21st World Championship for Long Casting of Sea Weights for Seniors and 5^th World Championships for Ladies from 22^nd to 28^th April 2018.

World Shore Championships – Seniors and Ladies

WALES, Conwy,  35^th World Championship Seniors and 26^th World Championship Ladies from 20^th to 27^th October 2018.

World Boat Championships Seniors

PORTUGAL, Setubal -54^th World Seniors Boat Championships from 15^th to 22^nd September 2018.

World Championship Shore Angling Pairs

SPAIN, Peniscola – 1^st World Championship Shore Angling Pairs from 21^st to 28^th April 2018.

World Championship Shore Angling Masters (over 55)
PORTUGAL, Albufeira, Algarve- 2^nd World Championship for Masters from 10^th to 17^th November 2018.

Please note:  Application forms are available for download on the Angling Trust website at www.anglingtrust.net,or ring the Competitions Department on 0115 822 4519.  All completed forms must be returned by no later than 12^th December 2017 to Angling Trust, Competitions Department, The Old Police Station, Wharncliffe Road, Ilkeston, Derbyshire. DE7 5GF.  Applications that arrive after the closing date will not be considered.  Application forms have automatically been sent out to all Team England squads who took part in 2017.

Application deadline dates for the Home Boat Championships were earlier this year and the deadline was 6^th October.

 

The England Junior squad have already been selected for the World Junior Angling Championships in 2018.

All anglers/casters who are successful in the selection process to represent England must have valid individual membership of the Angling Trust.
