With its mixture of free competitions, useful links, photographs, humour and banter, the Anglers’ Net page on Facebook has been a hit with many from day one. This weekend, it hit 45,000 ‘Likes’.
For those unfamiliar with Facebook, that means that 45,00 people have chosen to express an interest in the page and receive information from it. As far as we know, it is the largest UK fishing page on Facebook to date.
As a result of its popularity, obviously, quite a few companies have expressed an interest in appearing on the page. However, it’s all about balance and we won’t allow it to become a sounding board for every man and his dog. What we are doing, however, is negotiating more FREE COMPETITIONS, as well as discounted tackle and bait. 2013 will be a good year for us on Facebook, for sure.
