As the traditional closed season approaches, many river anglers are out there as I type, cramming in as much fishing as they can in the last week. They know that, after that, 3 months of anticipation for the new season will follow.
Those three months are usually spent sorting old tackle, buying new bits, wandering along rivers and the like. Anything to do with fishing is classed as time well spent.
Some anglers, particularly lure anglers, still like to make their own tackle. There’s nothing quite like the feeling of landing a fish that has been tricked into a strike by a lure made by your own hands.
Wooden Lure Making is a downloadable guide to, funnily enough, making your own fishing lures from wood! Often referred to as an e-book, these type of guides are available the second you pay for them, generally – you download them to your PC and either read them online, or print them off.
The good thing about this book is that the author is that the author really does practice what he preaches. Not only will you see photos of fish that he’s caught, but there’s also a link on the Wooden Lure Making website to his current Ebay auctions and, boy, do some of these lures look good! What’s particularly reassuring is the following quote from his sales pitch:
“When you purchase my ebook you are not buying from a webmaster with no knowledge about lure making or bass fishing. I am either fishing or making lures almost every day. You can contact me any time after the purchase with questions and I will assist you any way I can with your lure making endeavors.”
So, if you fancy having a go at making some lures yourself, click here to visit the Wooden lure Making home page. Even if you don’t fancy buying a book, it’s worth a click just to see what can be made by hand.
For those of you new to the whole concept of e-books, you may be interested to know that there are THOUSANDS of books available out there, covering just about every subject matter you can think of, from modify Subaru Imprezas to dollmaking, from stopping spam email to pet care…..the list is almost endless!
