A tricky aspect of floater fishing for big carp can be selecting the right surface line to use. It needs to be lightweight yet incredibly strong, supple yet be able to cast without tangling, and of course have a decent amount of abrasion resistance without being too thick in diameter… easy task then!
Thankfully, Korda have developed the first dedicated floater fishing line designed specifically for targeting carp off the top. It can be used just for the hooklink length, and also for the mainline too, ensuring a balanced set up from the hookbait right the way up to the reel.
The line is extremely supple on the water and gives a great natural presentation, which obviously helps to fool the fish and its clear colour helps to keep everything inconspicuous.
Korda Kruiser Control Surface Line is available in four sizes on 150m spools; 6lb, 8lb, 10lb, and 12lb. This is great as you can permanently spool a stronger 10lb or 12lb breaking strain mainline onto your spool, and use the finer 6lb or 8lb line as hooklink.
