Weekly Report for the Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire & St Neots Cambridgeshire Area sponsored by Starmer Baits, Nash Bait & Nash TT

The workparty scheduled for Saturday 12th March 2011 has been moved to the River Great Ouse at Biddenham as the second bridge is in urgent need of replacement. Those attending are requested to bring with them any of the following if they have them – screwdrivers, saws, hammers and cordless power tools.

At North House Lake David Starling managed a 17.5lb mirror and a tench. A number of jack pike were caught by predator anglers from North House this week.  On the adjacent South Lagoon Jamie Usher caught a 19.5lb pike. Plenty of bream are still being caught to 6lb from the South Lagoon.

At Beckerings Reservoir Mick Stringer had one carp of 21lb and an un-named angler one of 16lb. Dave Bosnan had a few jack pike during the week.

Only one guess per person will be allowed and multiple entries will be disqualified. In the event of a tie the first correct/closest entry received wins. Closing date for entries is 27th March 2011 at midday. If you want to see a large picture of Shayla and the bait then go to my Facebook page at the same email address.

The Luton AC Board have voted to allow keepnets to be used again on the canal during the months of April and May which is great news for the local match scene as well as pleasure anglers.
