At Beckerings Reservoir James Muncaster managed a couple of doubles as did a few other un-named anglers. Bream are still being caught in the 6-7lb range mostly by carp anglers.
Little action this week on the Wyboston Complex with just a few small bream to the carp anglers.
Chris Barnet caught a jack pike from the South Lagoon and last weekend Mark Simmonds had a couple of jacks from North House Lake.
On the Grand Union Canal the wind and rain seem to have kept most anglers away but those that have ventured out have been rewarded with plenty of roach and perch with the most productive area being around the steep steps at Chelmscote and the Stoke Hammond Layby. The Ledburn Brook which runs into the Town South section has made the canal very coloured right through to the Globe which has kept weights on the low side.
Januarys competition winner will have the choice of 10kg of the new Starmer Baits Coconut Fish boilies or nearly £100 worth of Nash IC-1 and Nash Terminal Tackle. Anglers would be wise to avoid the canal on those dates, for further information visit the UltraRace web site www.ultrarace.co.uk
