Beckerings Reservoir has been fishing well with bailiff Mick Stringer landing commons of 27lb & 26lb plus nine doubles to 19lb. Most of Micks fish were caught off the top. James Muncaster managed four doubles and Phil Randall had Little Gerty at 27lb 4oz.
The canal has been fishing exceptionally well with large bags of bream and carp. I came across Luton AC Life Member Dennis Hunt fishing at the Globe on Sunday morning and in just 3 hours he had 26 fish, mostly bream for an estimated 40lb+ Included in his catch were some nice size roach and hybrids with top bait being pellet fished over groundbait.
Although I havent received the results from The Southern Canal League match last weekend I have found out it was won with 42lb of bream from Town South with 38lb of bream from Slapton and the 84 strong field included many 25lb+ weights.

Luton AC invested over £20,000 in stocking and fisheries improvement work during 2009. This investment is ongoing and is reflected by the number of work parties that took place throughout March, April & May. Membership prices have remained unchanged for this season with all waters except the river sections remaining open for the full 12 months.
The fisheries team are regularly cutting grass at this time of year and this week were seen at Haversham amongst other places. Some small barbel were spotted in the clear shallow river during their visit.
Members can now use the fantastic new secure off road car park area created in May this year at the Great Ouse Lavendon. Access to the car park is via a locked gate using the club key with a further gate allowing access down to the river.
