The Luton AC Board are pleased to announce that they have secured the fishing rights to a new section of the River Great Ouse at Haversham on the outskirts of Milton Keynes. The fishing comprises of one field and the area is noted for its large chub to almost 8lb and the occasional barbel. Parking is via a locked gate which can be opened with a club key and then down a made up track with secure parking next to the river. New bailiffs are required for this stretch of river and anyone interested or requiring further information should contact Iain Olney Acting Club Secretary 07736-595218. Further details regarding this fishery will be posted on the web site shortly.
Further downstream at Lavendon Mill Mark Simmonds caught 5 bream to 6lb and 6 tench to 4lb using a method feeder approach.
At the Wyboston Complex near St Neots the river is producing a few bream to 4.5lb. On the South Lagoon which is connected to the river the Luton AC zander record has been broken with a fish of 16lb 8oz caught by Alex Gentry whilst fishing for carp. The zander took a liking to his Innovate Squid 2t bait and he added 3 carp up to 15lb and 3 bream during his session. The skimmer bream have been showing in numbers with fish to 1.5lb in bags of 40 to 60lb. Other noteable captures include a 14lb zander and a 25lb common but no captors names have been supplied. Reports have come in of a 22 fish hit for Shane Welch from the South Lagoon which included 2x 30’s all caught on S2t and apocalypse steamies, pictures and details in next weeks edition.
On North House Lake Glenn Millier landed the Parrot Common at 29lb 15oz on an S2t pop up.

On the canal at Grove Church day ticket angler Toby Hoskin caught 2 bream both around 3lb and a common of 14lb all falling to his homemade 18mm boilies. Another day ticket angler had a 6lb common from the same area on floating bread and at the Golf Range doubles are being caught to 15lb and bream to 4lb.
At Beckerings Reservoir near Flitwick Dave Harwood caught a 15lb common and a 16lb+ mirror within 10 minutes of one another with both fish coming to S2t Hairaisers. Richard Whiteman was also at Beckerings and had a 19lb common on a Dynamite Baits Tiger Nut Boilie. The biggest fish of the week fell to Colin Holmes with a 23lb mirror and he also landed a 15lb common. Several other low 20lb fish have been caught but no details received.

Luton AC bailiffs have been conducting night patrols successfully removing anglers from no night fishing sections with the backing of the Police. Anglers are reminded that only Luton AC members may fish the canal at night and then only from specified sections.
Through a water share arrangement with Barnet Angling Club Luton AC members may also fish several additional stretches (not listed in the membership book) of the River Great Ouse, River Ivel and River Thames, maps that show parking areas etc are available to download from the club web site or by sending a request with an A5 sae (large size stamp please) to the club office. These waters offer excellent fishing for barbel, tench, bream and carp.
