Dave Murdoch 28lb 7oz common

At the same venue Shane Welch from Marston Moretaine and Gary Westcott from Eaton Socon fished a short overnight session and between them bagged a 24lb 10oz mirror and commons of 18lb 6oz, 18lb, 15lb 4oz, 15lb, 13lb and 12lb with all of the fish falling to squid 2t. Dan Stringer landed two commons of 18lb & 16lb and Mick Stringer had a 19lb common.
Also at Beckerings canal bailiff Richard Whiteman from Leighton Buzzard caught a 22lb 10oz common on a Dynamite Baits Chocolate Malt and Tiger Nut boilie.

Liam DykeLiam Dyke aged 14 caught a new personal best 16lb common from Beckerings.
At North House lake on the Wyboston Complex Kevin Jeffrey had a fantastic session catching the venues Big Common at 33lb 6oz down in weight by a couple of pounds after spawning and added commons of 25lb 14oz, 20lb 15oz, 21lb 12oz, and a mirror of 20lb 12oz with all of the fish being caught on squid 2t. Phil Lovesy bagged a 28lb common on a Heathrow Bait Services boilie.

On the Grand Union Canal there have been lots of single and low double figure fish reported. Mr Whatley pole fishing pellet at the Three Locks picnic area caught bream to 3lb, an 8lb common and lots of skimmers all in just 3 hours. Sadly the best fish reported fish from the canal was an upper double carp about to be stolen by two English guys who were carrying it to their waiting car at Ivinghoe Bridge wrapped in a weigh sling and unhooking mat. They were fortunately caught by one of Luton ACs numerous bailiff patrols. Their car details and descriptions will no doubt be passed to the EA and circulated to other angling clubs in the area. It just goes to show that it isnt necessarily Eastern Europeans who are stealing fish but also those mindless idiots who are out to make a quick buck transfering fish illegally to other waters.
