Goose Green
Les Taylor was to found perched on Peg 31 at Goose Green on the 23rd, Les fishing his favoured method of the waggler with sweetcorn hook baits over a bed groundbait, caught well for the best part of the day with Bream, Skimmers & Roach coming to his waiting net, fishing along side Les was Mark Emery, Mark, who was also fishing the waggler, caught suicidal flying Bream to 4-0-0, Roach to 0-4-0, Skimmers and a solitary Mirror Carp of 6-3-0 that came to the shore like the proverbial wet sack.
Nigel Aldridge was also to be found at Goose this weekend, Nigel fishing the pole on Lake 4, caught Bream, Skimmers, small Tench and Roach on 4mm pellet.
Ray & Sandy Emery were to be found enjoying the early autumn sunshine at Goose Green on the 21st, Ray fishing the waggler close in caught a multitude of Perch and Roach to 0-4-0 on maggot hook bait, Sandy on the other hand showed her normal prowess, fishing the waggler with maggot or corn on the hook, she reports catching steadily all day, with Carp, Tench, Bream, Roach, Skimmers & Perch coming to her waiting landing net.
Karen Ginnaw fished Peg 20 on Lake 4 at Goose Green on the 16th Sept, along side hubby and Society Match Secretary, Barry, Barry reports Karen caught from the off with small Carp, Bream & Skimmers coming to her net, Barry reports catching 3 Carp to 7 lb, 2 Bream, Skimmers and a shedful of small silvers.

Fishery News
Deep Lake remains closed as there are no fish in lake and will remain off limits until April the 1st 2008, please also be aware if you walk around the lake, that some areas are very boggy at the moment, please do not venture too close to the edge for your own safety.

Result of the Dennis cup fished at White bridge on the River Adur by 11 anglers on the 23rd September
1st Mick Hall 6.1 kg (13 lb 7 oz) roach and skimmers to long rod and pole to hand / maggot.
2nd Pip Pranskus 3.77 kg (8 lb 5 oz) roach and skimmers to long rod and feeder /maggot.
3rd Brian Miller 2.95 kg (6 lb 8 oz) 1 bream to feeder/worm plus roach and skimmers to long rod/maggot.
4th Paul Holden 2.75 kg (6 lb 1 oz) skimmers and roach to long rod/ feeder and maggot.
5th Glenn Riley 2.7 kg (5 lb 15 oz).
6th Dudley Chandler 2.45 kg (5 lb 6 oz).
Most fish were caught in the 1st hour then most anglers struggled
